The Pink Forum background.

The Pink Forum was formed in 2020 by Mandisa Jiyane who is passionate about addressing the inequalities that are found in the education system particulary in townships, informal settlements and rural areas, the main aim of the organisation is to become a catalyst of change within the education system through implementing various interventions and support that will change the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged women, youth and children.

Mandisa Jiyane formed this organisation because of her expirience living in Stellenbosch in the Western Cape, where inequalities in the education system and injustices are still prominent. She used her knowledge and expirience as 'The Primaria.' and Vice President Of The Student Representative Council to continue with her activism through the organisation. Since it's formation The Pink Forum has implemented four of its core services: Psycho - Socio intervention; Food Security; Career Guidance and Community Outreach to impact the lives of the people it serves.

About Us

The Pink Forum is a youth-centered organization currently operating in Tembisa and Kempton Park in Gauteng Province. The organization runs a number of established projects that are aimed at responding to the socio-economic challenges that confront young people living in disadvantaged communities. These projects are geared towards uplifting and providing varied forms of assistance to young people.

The work is also informed by an aim of becoming a catalyst and safe space wherein creativity and innovation can be fostered. Programs that make up the work of The Pink Forum include identifying families and individuals in need and, by amassing the support of various stakeholders, offer whatever assistance is needed and available. The organization seeks to do this by implementing a set of programs each of which is aimed at providing different services and types of support to women, youth & children living in disadvantaged communities.
